Many thanks to Elixir, the van Norstrands, Frivolity and Noteworthy helping to drive the fun. Great calling also by Sarah van Norstrand and David Smukler. Contra, English and more! Now that you’re done dancing, let us know what you think on our brief Festival survey. Thanks!

This Thursday, April 5, we will be dancing in the Brighton High School gym, 1150 Winton Rd S, Rochester, NY 14618. The dance starts at 8:00 pm, with an introductory lesson at 7:30 pm. The following week, we’ll be back at our usual location.
We are welcoming visiting students from Rennes, France to the April 5 dance, and hope you will help to show them what a great dance tradition we have. Lively music by Howard Blumenthal and friends, and great dances taught & called by our good friend Joyce Rossbach, now at the Augusta Heritage Center.
We’ll be offering a pre-dance lesson at the Contra dance every Thursday in March. Come at 7:30 pm for a friendly introduction to the basic elements of community dance. If you’ve been thinking about getting out on the floor with us, but perhaps not quite ready to just jump in, here’s your chance to ease into it. Experienced dancers take note: it’s a great way to introduce your friends to this form we love so much.
