 An evening of English country and Regency era dancing, led by an expert on social dancing from 1450 to 1900!  Superb music by Eileen Nicholson, Rachel Bell, and Jane Knoeck – top notch musicians all.  6:30 – 9:30 pm at First Baptist, admission $10.

Demo and workshop on The Evolution of English Country Dancing.  Admission is free!  The event runs from 3 – 5 pm, and is followed by a potluck 5 – 6 pm. Food contributions welcome but not necessary.

Christmas in July!  Contra, Circle, & English Dancing & Singing to Christmas Carols.  A noted Australian caller, workshop leader and dance historian will lead dances he has set to familiar carols.  Spirited music by Jane Knoeck, Rachel Bell and Eileen Nicholson.  Please bring Christmas Cookies for the break.  6:30 – 9:30 pm at First Baptist.  Admission: $10.  This SATURDAY evening event kicks off a weekend of activities with Dr. Gardiner-Garden.

Laurel is a multi-instrumentalist, proficient on recorders, whistles and oboe — working with Molly Jaynes on violin and John Wobus on piano to make exciting music for us.  David Smukler is an attentive and effective teacher, which makes for a smooth evening of dancing. It’s our annual Strawberry Shortcake night, and to top things off THIS DANCE IS FREE, sponsored by Hilary and Ed Gutman!

Ithaca comes to Rochester! Making the music will be Kathy Selby on violin, Gordon Bonnet on flute and John Wobus on piano. Pamela Goddard has a mindful approach to calling and a fine sense of humor, both of which make for some excellent dancing.
